Walking and Cake Eating Videos

Here's a more recent video of Thomas walking--he's gotten much steadier and much faster! 

And an edited version of Thomas eating birthday cake. As you'll see, he was fairly tentative with the cake. Later on (what you see is edited down from 7 minutes), we frosted him a bit for fun. Don't mind the end of the song...who knew our group would come off sounding so off key?!?!

Thomas turns 1 year old today! Happy Birthday sweet boy! We've enjoyed every second of the last year!

Birthday Party

Last weekend we celebrated Thomas' first birthday a bit early because we had visitors for the long weekend--Mom, Dad, Jenn and Pat. 

Check out our big boy! Doesn't he look older than one? It must be the hair.

I found cute dinosaur plates and napkins, and Ed wanted TJ to wear his halloween costume again because it's so darn cute, so the party had a dino theme.

We attacked Thomas a bit with frosting--a nakey baby with a frosted cupcake should be messier! And, if you noticed his legs in every picture, he always eats with his legs crossed--so polite!

This week's pictures

Thomas was cute once or twice this week, so I took a few pictures. :)

Snuggling the couch pillow...this was not posed!

The striped shirt boys! Thomas and his 9-week-old friend Ethan. Adult spotters are just outside the picture you see here, since Thomas was very interested in Ethan, particularly wanting to poke him in the eye.

T has discovered light switches recently. This one is the perfect height for him, so he'll stand and switch it on and off for about 10 minutes at a time. Since it's the basement light, he has no idea he's actually turning the light on and off--it's just a fun switch. 

Rice and beans for dinner and a facial--yum yum!
