The Cooks rented a cottage on a nearby lake one weekend in August. We came over during the day to boat and play.
One thing we didn't have at Mattoon was a beach for the kids to play on. This lake had a great shallow area, and the kids were content to play in it for what seemed like hours on end.
Brennan was happiest when he had food in front of him. He often started a meal well before the rest of us and was still going long after we were done. Love a good eater!
The cottage had two kayaks. Kelly and I took them (and some munchkins) out for a paddle. Nice arm workout and very relaxing to be floating on the water!
